Loch Glascarnoch shallows

When the dam was built on Loch Glascarnoch in the 1950s, trees were felled to accommodate the higher water levels. In low water, the levels in the loch recede to reveal the bleached skeletal remains of the old forest on the Dirrie More. Beinn Dearg and Cona Mheall lie beyond the moor.
